The Bettinardi BB Series has run, in some form, since at least 2009, when the line reappeared in a black chrome finish across what the maker's page describes as five classic head styles, a description repeated on Bettinardi's UK page for the 2010 refresh. Putterzone.com gave the 2010 BB Series high marks, and singled out the BB26 model that year for its rounded, heel-toe weighted shape with soft edges throughout, though the outlet also described it elsewhere as a modern take on a blade with a center shafted, zero offset build. Our own review of the BB26 called the head's craftsmanship impeccable, visually delicious, and confident in its symmetry, while noting it isn't going to coddle you if you miss the sweet spot.

By 2011, thegolfwire.com credited Robert J. Bettinardi as designer of that year's BB Series and BB1, describing a classic heel-toe weighted design finished in a proprietary Metallic Fog and built with the patented Honeycomb face milled from a selected blend of metals. The BB1 carried into 2013 with reviewers noting a lower, narrower profile and a shallower face, milled with what mygolfway.com called a Hyper Honeycomb pattern. Our review of that BB1 found it solid and well balanced, with excellent feel on centred hits, though we flagged that its craft production placed it in the higher range of prices and that its firm grip takes some getting used to. Mygolfway.com's own verdict was warmly positive, recommending it to players wanting sensitivity to impact without leaning on modern inserts, and noting some regret at having to send the test unit back.

The line resurfaced for 2022 with a Graphite Gray PVD finish, a Lamkin Sink Fit grip in standard and jumbo sizes, and what the maker calls Aggressive Flymill Face Milling, milled, per the maker's own release, from a single block of 303 stainless steel with a 35 gram head weight. Bettinardi's 2022 announcement framed the update as Robert and Sam Bettinardi continuing their legacy of innovation and heritage, crafting the next generation of world-class milled putters, with the newest Roll Control face milling reserved for that year's INOVAI line rather than the BB Series itself. A separate BB1 Fitz Flow model, tied by golfmonthly.com to Matt Fitzpatrick's 2018 Open Championship win, was described by that outlet as one-piece milled from a solid block of 303 stainless steel.

The most recent chapter, the 2026 BB Series and its companion BB 6.0, brought a Savannah Blue PVD finish, a tour grade brushed nickel shaft, and a new VDF, or Variable Depth Flymill, face milling built around nine individually tuned zones, deeper grooves for control and shallower ones for energy, developed with Quintic testing according to the maker. Thehackersparadise.com credited Sam Bettinardi as designer of the 2026 update and noted the BB Series has served as the foundation of Bettinardi's lineup for more than two decades. Bettinardi's own marketing quoted MyGolfSpy's line that you can't fake consistent energy transfer to the ball. Reviewers were split on the results: the 2026 BB Series finished first and second out of 29 putters tested according to bettinardi.com, yet thehackersparadise.com called it nice on course but not enough to cement a place in the bag after a one round audition, while pluggedingolf.com praised the BB 6.0's wonderful impact feel and consistent ball speed on mishits but noted it feels firmer than the BB1.
