XB-1

The Sizemore XB-1 came out in 2006, the first head in the maker's XB line. Worldgolf.com's reporting describes it as a hand-made putter, not a mallet, built with a slightly off-set hosel and heel-toe weighting, heel-balanced in its toe hang. The same reporting lists a 99.9% pure copper face insert cut with precision IND-X milling, a 4 degree loft, and an AIM alignment system built into the design. Worldgolf.com also reported the XB-1 as part of a 250-club first-run, carrying an MSRP of 350 USD.

Worldgolf.com's review called the XB-1 one of the more beautiful putters they'd ever seen, and Community opinion on the putter echoes that, pointing to a sexy proprietary milling pattern and praising the look of the head overall. On feel, the Community's take is more divided by contact point: struck center, putts are described as sweeter and softer than warm molasses, but off-center hits reportedly brought some twisting of the clubhead and a few putts pulled off-line compared to the mallets of the era. The expense of the putter came up as a complaint alongside the praise.
