The maker's archival page, describing what it calls a later "transformation" of the model, gives some useful context for what this earlier X 7 was building toward: a precision milled solid stainless steel face and head paired with a center-balanced aluminum sole and flange component, long angular wings meant to aid alignment and push weight toward the back and perimeter, and a mid-bend shaft aimed down the target line for what the maker calls "a nearly-face balanced modern mallet."

For the 2019 version specifically, the record is thinner and comes from a third party. Golfalot's review describes the head as combining long flange sight lines with a semi-traditional top line, intended for easy horizontal and vertical alignment at setup, and reports a misted black finish along with a mid-bend shaft, consistent with the mid-bend approach the maker's own later prose describes for the line generally.
