The Newport 2 Dual Balance enters the Select line in 2014 as a counterbalanced take on the Newport 2 shape. The maker's page describes a build with a 50-gram backweight set into the end of a 38 inch standard length shaft, paired with another 50 grams added to the head, and frames the whole idea around stability that comes built in rather than earned over time. The head is milled from 303 stainless steel, carrying a 3.5 degree loft and 70 degree lie, with the maker offering custom lie adjustment of plus or minus 2 degrees and half inch length increments from 36 to 40 inches.

The maker's page also points to the Dual Balance grip itself as part of the design, instructing the golfer to place their hands below a black guideline printed on the grip to find the counterbalanced feel the putter is built around. That same descriptive language, down to the 50 and 50 gram weighting and the steady as she goes closing note, carries over into the 2015 archive page for the model, suggesting the design held its specification through at least that stretch of years without revision.
