Dual Force

That combination of a name and a face material became the identity the rest of the line worked from.

The Dual Force 2 arrives as what the maker's page describes as a reissue of the original Dual Force putter line, and the changes it makes are telling: a darker finish meant to reduce glare and unwanted reflection, and an insert redesigned, per the maker, to produce the same feel but hold up more consistently on off-center strikes. Greenskeeper.org's account of the Dual Force 2 adds a co-molded ground face formed in the face cavity and ground for a flush impact surface, along with a shot peened finish, and the outlet lists a spread of head styles under the name, from a face-balanced mallet with a double-bend shaft to a scoop-back blade with a half-shaft offset to a rounded heel-toe blade. That range suggests the second generation wasn't a single head chasing one shape, but a name applied across several.

By the time of the Dual Force Putter at 34 inches, the through-line is the insert doing more work for forgiveness. Across three releases, the Dual Force name tracks a single argument carried forward: soften the face material, move the weight to the perimeter, and let the insert do what stainless steel used to do.
