The BB43 traces back to Bettinardi's Millennium Series, with center-shafted releases logged in both 2002 and 2003. That center-shafted identity holds as a constant across the line's earliest entries, verified from bettinardi.co.uk and bettinardi.com alike, and it's the throughline that every later BB43 answers to.

The line resurfaces in 2014, both as a standalone release and as part of that year's BB Series. Golfalot.com reported the 2014 head as a carbon steel casting, and Pluggedingolf.com listed it among the available models in the 2014 BB Series at an MSRP of 299 USD. Whether this 2014 BB43 kept the center-shafted neck of its Millennium Series ancestors isn't something the record settles on its own, but the naming and the series placement tie it back to the line's origins plainly enough.

Decades later, the BB43 returned as the seventh putter in Bettinardi's 25th Anniversary Commemorative line, and here the maker draws the connection explicitly: this 354-gram Limited Run BB43 draws from our Millennium Series from 21 years ago. The anniversary release carries a Tour Blast body with a Micro Honeycomb face, 15 brass plugs, and Robert's signature RJB initials, along with an open Hex sole milling marked XXV and a 1/250 engraving. It's a deliberate callback dressed in the shop's current materials and finishing.

Alongside that commemorative run sits a DASS Hexperimental Proto BB43, a 355-gram center shaft one-of-one built around the same Micro Honeycomb face, this time finished with a Wizard design, four Chicago stars on the sole, and paint fills in black, neon green, and deep fuchsia. It's a one-off rather than a production chapter, but it shows the BB43 shape still living in Bettinardi's shop as a canvas for its more experimental Hive releases, more than two decades after the Millennium Series first put the number on a putter.
