Suzuka

The Suzuka CGB is one of the four new CGB models Rossa brought into its 2006 putter line, and the only half-mallet in that group. Where the Daytona 1, Sebring 3, and Lambeau 7 are built around blade shapes with different neck treatments, the Suzuka is described on the maker's page as a half-mallet fitted with a double-bend shaft over a half shaft, which sets it apart in silhouette from its stablemates even though all four share the same underlying CGB technology.

That technology centers on the CGB rods and CGB plugs the maker's page describes as working "to help shift the center of gravity (CG) low and deep into the back of the putterhead, improving launch conditions to promote a superior roll." The Suzuka also carries the Anti-skid Groove System Insert, or AGSI, which the maker's page lists as twelve CNC-milled grooves intended to promote forwardspin and reduce skid and bounce. That insert runs across all the 2005 Rossa introductions, so it isn't unique to this head, but the Suzuka combines it with a Titallium insert whose saved weight is redistributed to the perimeter for added MOI.

On spec, the maker's page lists the Suzuka CGB at a 335g headweight, 3.5° of loft, 70° lie, and lengths of 33, 34, or 35 inches, finished in Rossa's Red/Black Pistol Tour Satin with the Titallium AGSI insert. thehackersparadise.com has reported Kia Ma as the putter's designer, though that credit comes from the publication rather than from TaylorMade or Rossa directly.
