The same outlet also credits an FGP-type putter, used by Zach Johnson, with the 2007 Masters, though that's a later chapter in the line's story rather than this specific 1999 release. Either way, the reputation follows the model closely, and putterzone.com summed up the general sentiment plainly: "I am impressed it seems SeeMore FGP is a very recognized and successful putter."

This original release predates SeeMore's milled work, and putterzone.com lists it as built around what it calls RifleScope Technology, the alignment system that would become the brand's signature. The same source puts the original retail at 149 USD. None of this is independently verified here, but it's the figure on record from that outlet.

The maker's own site, in customer testimonials rather than technical copy, keeps returning to the same theme regardless of which FGP variant is being discussed: alignment and confidence over the ball. One buyer of a Classic FGP mallet wrote that he was "so impressed with the ease of alignment and accuracy" that he bought the putter outright and expected it to save him strokes. Another, describing an FGP mallet, called it "automatic from anywhere" on a good day. Those quotes concern later FGP mallets rather than the 1999 original specifically, but they speak to the throughline the model has carried since this release started it.
