The Scottsman line sits in the earliest stretch of Scotty Cameron's archive, dated to 1993-94 on the maker's own pages, with the family running across seven numbered models, 941 through 947. Our record here holds one release, the Scottsman 943, and the maker's page describes the series as a whole rather than that model on its own, so the arc has to be read through its sibling entry, the 941.

The maker's page calls the 941 "a blade style putter similar to the Coronado, but a bit longer and slightly wider with a more narrow toe," milled from "solid blocks of 1018 carbon steel, an extremely soft steel, hand finished and gun blued." That's the material and finish story for the series generally, a soft carbon steel worked and blued by hand, the same approach Cameron was applying elsewhere in this period.

For the 943 itself, the golfheritage.org account, reported by that publication and not verified here, puts a 1994 date on it and an MSRP of 210 USD. That same source offers two different production figures for the model, one saying it "may have had only three made," another saying "No more than 500 of each model were made" across the series, a discrepancy the record simply holds rather than resolves. golfheritage.org also frames the line's run as a "short production cycle, ended when Scotty joined Titleist late-summer of 1994," which lines up with the 1993-94 window the maker's own archive assigns to the whole Scottsman family.
