The Phantom Black 11 arrives in 2025 as a single entry, and the maker's own page is clear about its lineage: this is the Phantom 11 mallet, "already a title-taker at the professional level," carried over into the Phantom Black treatment rather than introduced as a wholly new shape. The house record for this line begins here, with one release, so the arc to tell is less a multi-year evolution and more a single, well-documented waypoint: a tour-proven head reworked for retail with specific, named changes.

Those changes are laid out plainly by Scotty Cameron's own page. The Tour Black finish is described as "a player request for years," now delivered as a PVD treatment on the stainless steel head with the aluminum sole misted and anodized black. Alongside the finish comes a custom sight line, two parallel lines milled on the topline and accented in light gray, which the maker frames as inspired by tour prototypes. The 2025 release also brings new chain-link face milling and a mid-bend shaft, changes presented as refinements to an already-proven mallet rather than a reinvention of it.

Construction carries over the multi-material approach the Phantom line is built on: 303 stainless steel paired with 6061 aircraft grade aluminum, milled for what the maker's page calls high MOI, stability and forgiveness. Loft sits at 3.5 degrees, lie at 70 degrees, offset is full shaft, and the putter is offered in 33, 34, and 35 inch lengths, each with its own weighting per the maker's specifications. The grip is a Matador, described on the maker's page as urethane-coated and tour-preferred.

With only the 2025 Phantom Black 11 on record, there is no earlier or later release in this line to trace a longer arc against. What the record shows is a putter positioned by its own maker as the tour-tested Phantom 11 head, brought to retail with a finish players had asked for and a sight line drawn from prototypes players had already used.
