Japan Limited

The 2016 Japan Limited was Scotty Cameron's Limited Release mallet built exclusively for the Japanese market, with 500 pieces made worldwide. The maker's page frames it plainly: "Scotty Cameron designed this Limited Release Mallet to give amateurs the Tour Only treatment, too." It pairs his Nuckle Neck configuration, familiar from his straight-shafted plumbing-neck work, with what the maker calls his "newly-released mallet head shape," aimed at players who favor mechanical, grid-like alignment at address.

Construction is 303 stainless with an aircraft aluminum face-sole, built at 34 inches, 3.5º of loft, 70º of lie, and one shaft of offset. The face-sole inlay carries a Bright Dip Blue finish, with translucent blue, black, gray, white and red paintfill accents and a precision milled aluminum shaft band, finished off with a mid-size Cameron Matador Blue grip and a matching headcover.

Within the Limited Release family, the Japan Limited sits alongside other single-year, region-specific mallets and blades built in similarly small worldwide runs, the 500-piece count and Japan-exclusive distribution mark it as one of a cluster of Cameron's Nuckle Neck, straight-shaft-inspired releases for that market rather than a broad-run production model.
