The 2018 Vault 2.0 drew attention for its True-Roll face milling, a detail pluggedingolf.com called out directly, writing that "True-Roll face milling continues to impress." That same outlet reported the putter's weight adjustments as available only through Ping, and noted three finishes offered on the model. Wikipedia's reporting adds a gold color finish to that picture. Golfalot.com, reviewing what it identified as the Dale Anser shape within the line, wrote that "as classic shapes go, the Ping Vault 2.0 Dale Anser putter is hard to beat," and separately described it as a very balanced putter.

By the 2019 edition, masterofthegreens.com reported a shift in language to Precision-Milled Face Technology, alongside a variety spanning classic-style blades and mallets. Whether that reflects a change in the line's actual milling or simply a change in how it was described, the two years sit side by side in our rows as distinct entries, both carrying the Vault 2.0 name.
