Vault 2.0 Ketsch

The Ketsch was the mallet entry in Ping's Vault 2.0 range, and according to essential.golf it was the only mallet head in that lineup, sitting alongside a set of blade and semi-mallet shapes carrying the same finish work and face technology. Essential.golf describes the head as an aluminium build with a steel soleplate, finished in Stealth, with a Slate option available through special orders, and reports it as the heaviest of the six putters in the Vault 2.0 range. Pluggedingolf.com lists the head weight at 365 grams and credits the face with Ping's True-Roll milling, offered in Straight and Slight Arc configurations with 15 grams of adjustable weighting.

On stroke fit, the two sources point in slightly different directions without quite disagreeing. Essential.golf frames the Ketsch as suited to a straight or arched putting stroke, while pluggedingolf.com calls it usable by straight path players and separately notes the Straight and Slight Arc build options, a distinction worth noting rather than flattening into one line. Essential.golf also records three sightlines on the head, aimed at the setup-and-alignment side of a mallet's job.

Reviewer opinion on the Ketsch leans favorable but comes with a caveat about feedback. Pluggedingolf.com called it one of the reviewer's favorite mallets while admitting a preference for more traditional shapes, and separately credited the head's high MOI with smoothing out the sensation of a mishit, for better or worse depending on how much face feedback a player wants from a stroke.
