Karsten Series B60

The Ping Karsten Series B60 comes to us as a single release, dated to 2007, and that is the whole of the line as our record holds it. There is no earlier or later B60 to trace an arc against, so what we have is a snapshot rather than a lineage: one blade, one year, one set of particulars reported from outside the house.

According to golfbluebook.com, the B60 was built as a traditional blade putter with a steel face and a half offset hosel, fitted with an elastomer insert set into the cavity. The same source describes perimeter weighting used to raise the putter's Moment of Inertia, aimed at forgiveness on off center strikes, a fairly standard piece of blade engineering for a putter of this type and era. Golfbluebook.com also lists an MSRP of 100.00 USD, which places the B60 as an accessible entry in Ping's Karsten Series naming at the time.
