The Record

Written from the sources it cites · machine-drafted for the Community to correct

The White Hot XG Core Models spanned nine head shapes, no. 1 through no. 9, running across variations of traditional blade or mallet putters, according to streetdirectory.com. Odyssey's own site pages for the family, captured in 2014, return no listings, so what we have on this release comes entirely from that outside reporting rather than the maker's own copy.

By that account, the line kept to Odyssey's familiar approach of a soft Elastometer core paired with a harder outer striking surface, with a textured impact zone marking the sweet spot on the face. Some heads in the run, described as a modified mallet with weighted wings in the back, were built for a low and back center of gravity aimed at increased MOI and forgiveness, while a center shaft configuration was used across the neck design. Streetdirectory.com lists an MSRP of $119 USD for the line, and reports left-handed availability, though its own notes are inconsistent on scope, at one point specifying the no. 1, no. 3, and no. 9 heads and elsewhere simply saying the line was available left-handed.

Tour usage is where this release earns its footnote: streetdirectory.com reports the no. 9 head was used by Phil Mickelson to win the 2007 Players Championship. That's the closest thing to a headline fact this Core Models run carries in the record, and it sits alongside a spec sheet built entirely from one publication's account rather than anything Odyssey has put its own name to here.
