Versa #2

The Odyssey Versa #2 arrived in 2013 as part of Odyssey's Versa family, a squared off heel-toe weighted blade with a crank-neck hosel and full-shaft offset. The maker's page ties the model to its high contrast alignment concept directly: "Our new visionary high contrast alignment technology highlights the proper face angle from address to impact, allowing you to align the putter throughout your stroke." That black and white treatment is the whole premise of the head, and the maker's copy leans on it again describing how "the black and white contrast lets your eyes key in on the linear designs and highlights the face angle all the way through impact."

The #2 was offered with a standard grip and, separately, as the Versa #2 Black with SuperStroke Grip, which paired the head with a SuperStroke Slim 3.0 grip described on the maker's page as removing tension and enhancing a pendulum stroke. Both versions carry the same squared off blade geometry and the same White Hot insert, described as new and improved for more consistent sound, feel, and performance across the face. PR Newswire reported the Versa #2 as available in black/white, black and white, and black/white combinations, though that color framing comes from the wire report rather than the maker's own product page.

The maker's page also cites outside recognition, quoting Golf Digest's 2013 Hot List Gold Medal writeup: "When a putter earns the number of affectionate nicknames this one did from our testers, that bodes well." A separate Golf Digest line quoted on the SuperStroke version's page adds a more visual take: "I just think of a zebra when I look at this. The two-tone design is nice for easy alignment."
