The Toulon Design AR, for Aggressive Release, is built around a single idea: helping a golfer mimic the release point produced by a long or belly putter while swinging a standard length club. That's the purpose stated plainly across the maker's own materials, and it's the throughline for everything else in this release, from the grip to the counterweighting.

The maker's page lists a 14 inch SuperStroke Mid Slim 2.0 XL grip and a 50 gram butt end weight, a combination that pushes mass toward the top of the club, paired with two 45 gram tungsten weights elsewhere in the build. Taken together, the spec sheet describes a putter engineered for a heavier, more counterbalanced feel than a conventional blade, consistent with the stated goal of coaxing a longer-putter release out of a shorter stick.

Against the rest of the AR line, this release is defined less by a head shape or a finish than by that weighting philosophy: the grip length, the butt weight, and the tungsten all point in the same direction, toward changing how the putter releases through the stroke rather than how it looks at address.
