White Hot OG 2-Ball

The 2021 White Hot OG 2-Ball is Odyssey's return of the original White Hot insert to the 2-Ball head, a face-balanced mallet built around the brand's two-ball alignment design. Golfalot.com reports the insert is made from the same urethane as the cover on Callaway's Rule 35 ball, with finely milled surfaces on the face and a rich silver PVD finish. The publication also lists a face-balanced neck and notes that a double bend, face-balanced configuration is available on certain shapes in the line, though the 2-Ball itself is described simply as face-balanced.

Golfalot.com tested the putter in a Stroke Lab shaft, 35 inches, with a DFX grip, and reports the head offered at 33, 34, and 35 inch lengths with a choice of steel or Stroke Lab shaft, the latter carrying an extra £50 according to the same source. Golfalot.com also notes the Stroke Lab shaft was improved this year with more graphite added for stability, and puts the retail price at £199.

Opinion on the release is warm but not uniform. One review praised it as easy to frame and align, said it carries the same dependable feel off the face, and called the Stroke Lab shaft a great addition, while flagging that the price compared to the original White Hot putters will put a lot of golfers off. Golfalot.com's own verdict was more personal: I really enjoyed testing the White Hot OG Putters, and I have to say that the 2-Ball was my favourite of the two.
