King Vintage Series

The Cobra King Vintage Series, as we hold it, is a single record: the 2021 line. There's no earlier chapter to trace it back to and no later one to carry it forward. What we have is one release, and the arc it describes is the arc of a maker trying to say something with names and shapes before saying anything with numbers.

Golfalot.com described the design theme as blending classic shapes with modern performance, with names inspired by classic sports cars, and reported four models built around that idea, with a silver face and four descending lofts from top to bottom of the face. That's a specific gesture, a putter line trying to wear its references openly rather than hide them in a spec sheet.

Whether it landed is where the record gets less tidy. Reviewers praised the sik face insert as a logical piece of engineering, and noted the range came in cheaper than comparable offerings from other major manufacturers, with headcovers reviewers called great quality. But the same notes describe a firmer feel than Cobra's 3d printed range, stability that wasn't great even in the high-MOI models, and looks that struck at least one reviewer as underwhelming. Golfalot.com was blunter still, calling it, on the whole, a bit of an uninspiring putter range, other than the very logical face insert.
