MC-10

The MC-10's place in the Bettinardi record begins and ends, on paper, with a single release in 1999. It is the shortest possible line, one entry, but that entry carries weight: the maker's page credits the MC-10 with delivering Bettinardi Golf's first professional Tour win, at the Greater Greensboro Open, in the hands of Jesper Parnevik.

The story the maker tells is specific. Parnevik played the MC-10 at that Greensboro event and, according to bettinardi.com, used it to post a tournament scoring record, a mark the maker's page states still stands. That single week in 1999 is the entire on-record history of the line as it was originally released, no follow-on models, no second generation, just the one putter and the win attached to it.

What the MC-10 lacks in generational depth it has made up for in commemoration. Decades later, Bettinardi's own product pages show the name being revived rather than replaced. A 25th Anniversary Limited Run version, captured on the maker's site in 2023, describes itself as the fourth Limited Run putter of that commemorative line and ties its Gold Flame finish and numbered 1/250 engraving directly back to the 1999 original. A separate 2025 listing, the DASS Tour Dept. Hexperimental Proto MC-10, again invokes the 1999 win explicitly, stating that the MC-10 was the first Bettinardi putter to secure a win on the PGA Tour.

So the arc here is not one of iterative redesign across years so much as a single moment, 1999, that the maker has continued to return to and re-dress. The original release earned the name its place in the record. Everything since, at least in what the maker's own pages show, has been built as tribute to that one week rather than a new chapter for the model itself.
