PutterTalk January Newsletter

Friends of PutterTalk.com,

2008 is going to be a special year for PutterTalk.com. We’re starting it right with this newsletter. Just two announcements, but they are pretty good ones!

When we launched PutterTalk.com last year, the PGA show was the very next week. We spent the week “getting the word out” knowing it’d take actions, not words to prove what we were doing. After one year and more than 5,000,000 page views, PutterTalk is now considered by many to be the foremost outlet for all putter related news. This year at the PGA Show in Orlando, we’re going to take it to another level.

All week long, PutterTalk.com will be posting pictures of new products, interviews with executives, general news from the show floor, and all the fun times that go along with “PGA Week” in Orlando.

PutterTalk will be reporting putter news from nearly every OEM exhibiting at this year’s show, and several that aren’t. We’ll also be doing several one-on-one Q&A Sessions with designers like David Mills, Bob Bettinardi, and Dave Billings, as well as executives from Ping, Callaway, Odyssey, Nike, SeeMore, Heavy Putters and many up and coming designers and manufacturers. Check out our Community for all the Q&A Threads. Get your questions in now!

We’ll be keeping the Putter-Related posts to PutterTalk.com, but you’ll find our “Quick Look” pictures of Drivers, Irons, Wedges, Balls and Gadgets on the all-new GolfOpinions.com as well as our other media partners across the internet.

Our second announcement has to do with our Classifieds section. In the past, We’ve filtered everything through PutterSwap.com. In the next few weeks, we’ll be merging PutterSwap with UsedGolfShop.com. We also thought it’d be cool to give users access to eBay listings from other PutterTalk.com Members. There are a lot of cool putters on eBay. We’d like to highlight the ones that are from you! If you check the top nav bar, you’ll see that there is a new “Member Auctions” section. This is a current listing of every auction powered by eBay that PutterTalk members have in progress. No longer do you have to post things over here in the Community section. eBay has granted PutterTalk and GolfOpinions.com direct access to their database so we can show you what other GO and PT members are selling.

Simply adding your eBay username to your Profile page, and we’ll take care of the rest. You’ll also have a link in all of your posts above your avatar to your specific listings. This is a great way to generate buzz for your auctions, as well as help PutterTalk by driving traffic to eBay as an advertising partner. We’re very excited by this relationship and hope the members enjoy the additional traffic to their auctions.

Lastly, if any of you are going to be in the Orlando area this Thursday, Jay Green from TP Mills Putters has asked me to extend an invitation to his party to all of you…the PutterTalk.com membership. Come meet Jay, and other PT members on Thursday at the Wyndham Cypress Palms. I’ll post the condo # when I have it in the TP Mills section of our Putter Community. We hope to see you all there!

In closing, I can’t thank you all enough for the support you’ve shown us in the last year. This has been a very rewarding experience for all of us at PutterTalk.com. 2007 was fun, but we can’t wait to show you what we have planned for 2008!

As always….stay tuned.

Mr. Doug
