Author Topic: Does anyone know where the original post is for this Welded DH89?  (Read 500 times)

Looking for Byron’s original post he does when he makes a putter and puts it on here as release and reference. Can’t seem to find it.

Curious as to the finish, weight, and material.

Any ideas?

Boom...seems to be this one, no?

But looks to have changed -- paintfill, finish, etc.  Byron couldn't have made two with that distinctive stamping?  Maybe it was sent back.  Im sure Byron would remember if he re did it.

Oh dang! I just bought this and now I’m worried that someone did a diy finish job with steel wool!

Hmmm....don't know.  Doesn't look DIY to me.  Maybe ask Byron.  He should remember if it came back for redo.  Looks like it was made in 2015.

BTW...you don't get much info from the Byron original posts.  Mostly just additional pics to enjoy.

I remember this one coming up on ebay alooooonnggg time ago, the seller had two with different necks but the same or very similar stampings on the face...been a while but i believe that it was stated that it was a carbon steel putter......best way to find out for sure is the old magnet trick

The original order was built as a stainless putter with a stainless weld neck with a glass blast, blue oil flamed finish.  Head weight 350 grams, 3* loft, 35" length, standard milling for a circa 2015 putter.

Talked to a previous owner that said the finish is "Element 29" from Putter Lounge. Does anyone know if that is a finish or a plating?  Will acetone take it off? Will naval jelly take it off?

For future reference, a magnet will not stick to SS... it will grab on to carbon like it's a long lost friend.
