The Traditional Birthday Putter!
« on: May 08, 2018, 11:27:28 PM »
G'day,

In the ten years that I have known Kari, I have usually (probably should make that, "have always"), scored one of his putters to either game or add to the collection. This year was no exception.

This time though, I left most of the thought processes to him, to make it a bit of a surprise as well,

He knows my stats from previous builds, so I said, "How about a blade style, the rest is up to you Kari, surprise me!"

This turned up the other day, the pictures don't really do her justice. I certainly didn't have anything like it here.

KLP 4, Carbon Head, Stainless Steel Neck, Electric Blue Finish, with some "Artwork" on the flange and sole,

Cheers Kari, another beautiful, functional piece!!

This is an absolute dream putter. Just can’t beat a beautiful blade with some bells and whistles - congratulations. 👍👍🏆

Cheers Rob!!

And a Happy Birthday to you at the relevant time Too!! (you have two on me at most Mate),

Functionality is the main game, But, there is no harm in looking great as well, thank you for your sentiments!

Taking her out for a roll tomorrow.

Wow...the mixed metal weld neck and electric blue on carbon is stunning.  I remember asking Kari about the durability of the blue compared to other artisans and he told me it was a different process.  Didn't allude to what that was though..?  ;)

Thanks j.a.

And everyone else for your sentiments,

Yep, she is a nice blade, I finally got her out the other day for a run,

Christened her with a "kick in" on the second, and dropped a 35 foot bomb on the 8th for birdies,

Also missed a few more chances from around 12 to 20 feet, picking the wrong line, and we have had a Corella problem lately, with the white mongrels digging up the greens. So they are damaged and recovering slowly (that's my excuse for missing anyway, haha),

Cheers and thanks everyone, and Kari as well of course, sincerely Steve.
