Mills Odyssey on Tour
« on: February 25, 2017, 06:48:40 PM »
Saw a shot of Wesley Bryans putter and said, "that looks like a Mills".  Web says Metal X, but his putter has no insert and is milled.   Could this be one of the "Mills Odyssey" putters?

Just a thought...

Hmmm. It's possible I suppose, but I doubt it.

If he were to change to one of the more upmarket Callaway putters I'd expect more of a Toulon/Odyssey thing rather than a Mills/Odyssey putter.

To be fair, I don't think anyone has seen any Mills/Odyssey putters.
It's been a matter of speculation for a while now.

There is still a lot of work to be done on the milled Odyssey line.  You will see handmades rolling out after a Bay Hill.
At least that is what I was told yesterday.
Today is the day I will do what I was going to do yesterday.

So..I haven't been following very closely, but David and Odyssey are doing something right?  We just don't know the timeline?  And it seems like not many new putters are coming out of the shop either - is that b/c of the Odyssey deal or am I just looking in the wrong places?

Love the looks of that putter.
Not that crazy about the "PROTOTYPE" stamping on the toe though.  Looks like POOYE RTTP.
Bet it feels like butter though.............:)

Wondering the same thing myself.  Thought we would have seen some Tour Pro's rolling a Mills by the end of last season.

Yes, it's been extremely quiet on the Mills front.  Except for that guy in Denmark selling customs, I haven't seen anything in a long time.  I'll occasionally peruse David's website, but it's the same putters that have been there for ~2 years.

Agree, I'd like to see some new Mills stuff up for sale.

Haha. I was saying the same thing to my wife. At the clip bama is going you can hardly afford to pick up gear every championship. That being said this one felt a little special w the freshman comeback and all. Is that script A stamp an option on a custom by chance?

Edit: maybe “2-A-time” stamp :)

David is making Roll Tide NC putters by request only this year.  They are $950.    Not sure the model, I’m guessing for $950 it’s anything you want.

It seems like other than the stamping available, they won't actually be coming out. The one I saw on the other forum for sale was pretty nice looking!

Can anyone shed some light as to what's happening with TP Mills in general?  Is the company healthy?  What's the current direction?
