That's gonna need Mr. Moore himself to figure out...

Is that copper? Brass? MgBr? Otherwise unmarked, sometimes there is a clue under the grip if it is older...

I was told on wrx to try a magnet test.  Did that tonight and the magnet did stick to the putter. Does that mean it's copper?  I'm hoping Mr Moore will respond b/c I've had this putter for several years not knowing it's make. Also, the putter has an older (guessing early '90s) Lamkin grip.

Its carbon steel.

It may be copper plated over carbon... still, unbranded it is going to need the maker's opinion.

LOL... Was stating why it may appear to have a copper-like patina and still have a magnet stick, that's all. I don't know of any brownish patina bearing metal (other than rust of course) that would hold a magnet. I like that a copper plating protects, beautifies with age, and does little to change the (perceived) feel of a carbon head.

Just intrigued a little bit by the copper look, especially at the hosel... so I was trying to give a viable reason for it to both look like copper/bronze/MgBr and still have the carbon within to hold that magnet.

Some people don't even know to give the magnet test when they are unsure... just trying to help!  ;)
