SRC challenge - Chris Wood v Andy Sullivan faceoff
« on: January 25, 2017, 08:34:41 AM »
Well I am pretty sure this has never been done before and should be a giggle.

Both Chris and Andy carry our headcovers and are always up for something totally outside the box so we decided to lay down a challenge, they both went for it big time -

Who ever wins the most money at the end of the Desert Swing ( Abu Dhabi, Qatar Masters and Dubai Desert Classic ) will design a headcover for the loser, the headcover is basically a chance to gloat and generally take the mickey out of the losing player. It will be a hideous cover in a horrible colour.

The losing player MUST carry the cover for at least 4 events after which both players will sign the cover and then it will be auctioned off for charity. I will post some pictures once the monster has been designed.

Andy Sullivan is leading after one event. Game on.

I thought I would add a couple more pictures because there is one massive difference between these Ryder Cup buddies. Height !! The first picure Andy Sullivan is stood on a large box, its not that he is really short, well actually he is and Chris is over 6ft 6in tall.

The face off is over and Mr Wood is the winner !!

He came to see us yesterday to pick up his new cover and design the horror that poor Andy Sullivan will have to carry for the next few events which will hopefully include the Masters. I cant give much away about the design but I can tell you that Andy Sullivan earned the nickname "Chucky" during the Ryder Cup based on the evil doll so this will feature.

I have attached a picture of Woody's new cover which is a Banksy rat on a white glitter, we added the notes coming out of the vintage stereo to spell "Woody" this signed version will stay in my collection.

We also added Chris to our wall of tall and small so if you have never seen him in the flesh the lanky bugger literally fills a doorway.

I will add the loosing cover in a few weeks time.

Having been given a sneak peak of the finished article I have to say Scott did a great job - but I can't imagine Suli is very impressed having to play with it in his bag. Just as well he's known for his sense of Humour!

Here is the horror that Andy Sullivan is going to be carrying for at least 4 events. There are many bad things about this headcover but the worst is that it continually jangles when its in the bag, rest assured it is going to do the caddies head right in !!

I believe the cover will be making its first appearance at the golf 6 tournament, representing England will be Chris Wood and Andy Sullivan so they will both have to listen to the bloody thing jangling all day.

As designed by Chris Wood the cover needed to be inspired by Everton FC, the arch enemies of Andy's beloved Liverpool FC, hence the blue and dancing Everton mints dotted about the cover. The comment on top of the cover speaks for itself but I feel I should explain the jangling key rings, Andy earned himself the nickname "CHUCKY" during the Ryder cup because the European team thought he looked like the infamous murdering doll, he is also quite small.

Once he has had enough of the cover we will get Woody and Sulli to both sign the cover and then auction it off for charity, it wont be long !
