Any info on this Grace Putter???
« on: October 13, 2016, 11:51:39 AM »
So I played and won a tournament a few weeks ago at a club near my house and ended up with a nice chunk of shop credit.  Went back a few days later and outside of shirts or some golf balls (neither of which I needed) the shop was fairly barren.  I asked the pro what they had in terms of clubs and he brought out two Grace putters he had in the back room.  One was a run of the mill OTR and the other was an Artist's Series with a short slant weld neck that was hand stamped on the sole.  Tried to find some info on this putter and hoping someone hear may be able to give me something.  Here are some pics and apologies as the only camera I had with me was my iPhone.

I would suggest sending an email to Bobby directly and ask him to give you the history (bgrace@bobbygraceputters.com).  I did this on a lark on a tour putter (with pictures, of course) and, to my surprise, he replied within a day with a paragraph or so of history and description....

Good luck

Believe those were from the Post Cobra- Pre MacGregor era with Grace.

That one guy who used to sell wedges NomadWrx or whatever his name was was selling these at one time. With dots and such.

Geo is spot-on for the timing of this beauty.  Bobby sent me a note when the cobra deal ended and told me that something cool was in the works. But, before they really came to market in any great number, his deal was inked with MacGregor and the direction changed.   The "Artist Series" was made up of the best Bobby has ever put out, IMHO. BEAUTIFUL putters and each had that handmade look that gave them great character.

Thanks for the info Geo and Lamont. I sent an email and have not heard back yet, but will post if I get anything back.

I will say that it rolls the ball really nicely and would be in my bag if I was not making as many putts as I am with my old faithful.  I will also say that it is a really nice looking stick and well worth dumping the shop credit and a bit of cash on.

I have an Artists Series putter and was shocked at how inexpensively I acquired it off of ebay... it is easily as good as any piece that I own, and that includes some pretty amazing works by some of the best of the best.

Enjoy it...
