A new mallet concept - The Bandit -
« on: September 22, 2016, 03:46:59 PM »
Hi Everybody,

I've been working on a new mallet concept for a while and I am pretty close to its definitive set-up.  I always had in mind something compact in size, simple and well balanced, so I came up with this shape with a considerable space in the middle and embossed sightline in the front and in the back of the cavity. Weighted around 380 gr. this fully milled putter head is extremely well balanced and very easy to align. I recently tested it with a double bend shaft and face balanced configuration and I was very impressed. Very stable and solid, with a soft feel at impact. I'll complete the  testing assembling a center shaft demo as well. I was thinking to call it the "Bandit"

Attached some pics of the prototype recently tested.

Any comment and suggestion will be deeply appreciated

Sincerely

Antonio

Another beauty, Antonio!  Your work is phenomenal!!  I hope many will give this and your other putters a try.  I believe they'll find them made to an extremely high level.

Very nice !!  I used to have a Ray Cook mallet with that general shape idea - loved it.

Will your sightline be influenced by the variety of light that comes with differing weather conditions? I love the idea of having it as part of the design, but some sightlines will almost disappear in certain conditions.

Nice looking putter for mallet guys...

Hi Jimbo,

thx for your message. Matter of fact the sightlines were one of my biggest concern while finishing the model. I tested the Bandit several times before the actual sightline size. The model had been also tested extensively by professionals. The final thickness on the embossing makes the sightlines visible on most angles and situations both on polished or matte finish.

thx again for asking.

Ciao :)

Antonio

Hi Outlawyer82,

Sorry for the late reply, but I recently had some issue on logging the web site. Here's some pictures of a fresh satin black pearl Bandit model (very durable and antiglare DLC finish) on a center shafted configurations. Specs are 4° loft and 71° lie. Head weight 370 gr.  Shaft and grip still to be mounted. I am pretty proud of this baby.

Anything needed, do not hesitate to contact me.

Thx for asking

Antonio doesn't approve anything with even the slightest flaw, so if he says he's proud of it, well, it's really time to pay attention.  Another couple of beauties, Antonio!  You've got my attention with that finish, btw.

Agree with that assessment... First time I have noticed this about your logo... it looks a bit like the Piretti 'P'with a little 'b' at it's base.

Hi Jimbo,

thx for your message. The logo only refers to the signature selection models while the cavity usually comes with the BPUTTERS name. My last name is Biagioli, so I simply used the first letter. We may have used the same font.

I appreciated the comments.

Cheers

Antonio

I think it is interesting that the Piretti maker is named Johnson... looking for a more exotic company and came up with Piretti.  :o  ::)

Jimbo,

I actually did not know that.. I though it was his last name. See, there's always room for learning ;)

Thx for sharing.
