Will do, Matt.  Bruce finally convinced me that this neck might improve my consistency, especially during the transition from back to forward.  That's where I tended to get a little "wobbly".  lol

Thanks fellas!  Byron really outdid himself on the details in this one.  Wasn't easy to get down to 330g.  Lots of metal removed by hand.  The weld is also perfect.

It'd be nice to show you in person, jr and waddman!

I'll be interested to see how you roll this one compared to your GSS DH-89.  You are pretty damned solid with that one.  If this makes you putt better, guys in your golf league could be in trouble!

That finish is really starting to grow on me.

Yesterday's round told me enough, Bruce.  8 one putts; 6 >10 ft.  On greens that had been aerated recently.  Point and shoot.   :)

Oh yeah, it was 45 degrees and 1 to 2 clubs of wind off nearby L. Erie.  Ah, springtime in C-town!

The face was hand milled.  The bumpers were ground and smoothed.  The neck was welded.  All the markings were hand stamped.

One more thing about the long pipe neck.  I've been a plumber's neck guy for several years now, so I was naturally concerned about how this neck would fit my eye.  I don't even notice the difference anymore, and it took no time at all to get used to.  The long pipe bend is like a hand bent plumber's neck.  Very subtle change looking down at it.

If any of you are on the fence for this reason, try one out.  Think you'll be surprised at how little difference it makes visually.

That's what I thought. A lot of handwork.

Good luck to Ohio at the Rose Bowl on Jan 1st.  ;) Stanford is a tough team.

I had the pleasure of seeing and gaming John's putter this past week/weekend for one round. All I can say is WOW!  John's DH89 is absolutely stunning.  The feel is tremendous and it looks terrific (Blue finish has worn to a soothing patina). I loved everything about this putter that I teased John I would be leaving Cleveland with it (just kidding John, I'd never do that).  The greens at the course we played were tough, fast and hard but the putter provided plenty of feel and touch.  At the end of the day I will be getting a putter like this, possibly the same specs (maybe 340g) but with different stampings.

Thank you John for giving me the opportunity in gaming this beauty.  Thank you for your friendship.  Thank you for the time we spent together the past few days.  I had a terrific time!

Hi Matt. Let's say it's my No. 1 backup. I've been using a solid copper Mini DH89 for the past 2 seasons. Unfortunately, I haven't been playing much. But, I now know why I've been having trouble. Seems I've got cataracts that have developed more rapidly than was predicted in early 2017. Hope to rediscover the joy of golf after my up-coming procedures.

What are you wielding these days?

Thanks John good luck with the cataracts. A friend of mine just had it done and it made a world of difference. I’m gaming a long neck Bombora in betweens and thought about giving a long neck DH89 a try.
