Next came a BB-16 in Black Thunder finish with a golf plated copper insert

Wish I'd known it was gold plated, a vigerous clean meant I had a Black Thunder finish with a copper insert

And it went a little something like this

Next came another Hoganardi this time a Tour Belly putter

I had it cut-down to 33" and cranked a bit

It worked OK but, never made loads of single putts, felt great with awesome distance control

Just for flash value, it had a signed headcover still, I gamed it and it worn thin ::)

Next up my first but not last centre shaft with no offset

Man it took one hell of a lot of time to get used to that but, at the time, it was what I had so, I gamed it slowly into the low 30's on the putting averages.

Next up my first true high end putter, the wife nearly shat herself when the import charges were over $125

Thanks so much Todd, had I known then what I know now  ???

The Millenium BB-43 and yes I had the matching grip with the headcover

Now the 43 was meant to be it, the one, the forever, bury me with it but ::)

I finally figured centre shafts with no offset didn't really work for me

Distance was always an issue, line was good but, we're talking upto 4 foot distance issues and if I missed the one back in anger you'd be calling "TAXI"

So back to the heal shafted however, not before I added the first run

O & a Long in red due to a nasty dose of the yips

Yer, Yer a few dings in them, live with it,theres nothing can be done about it & I never thoguth about sending them somewhere else to get them worked on.  God Glenn had spoken :-[

Yep we're talking Xcelerator

Then I decided BB-31 was the way to go but, blinded by the light (I can't even remember who sang that one)

The Kuch first PGA victory model came into sight & straight in the bag

Man there it stayed forever, I'm still not sure I'll part with it, we've been everywhere together

Here she is in her new colour scheme together with Ryder Cup 2006 headcover and grip, I even brought doubles of both

Then I got involved with the cash extractor :o

This next episode will have to wait for another time, we've brought way to much but way not enough (it would seem) from him to continue at this time of night.

I'll post the more modern stuff soon including Tour Mallets, Half Moons, Rory's (o no that was someone else) New Kuch's, slotted ones, PN's, FN's & even funny arse compound bend neck/shafts, bags, tools, markers, belts, buckles, headcovers, T-shirts, caps hell the list goes on & on

     T,

Thanks for the pictorial!  One of these days I'll get around to doing the same.  I think the BB31 came before the BB16 though for me.  Can't wait to see the new stuff.

Then came 2008 & 9's lossing streak

An original stainless BB2 brought refurbished and sold for a loss, not a gamer so, no picture but, it did introduce me to Glenn, Yeah, Yeah Ben I got the message.

Then a big losser, the DASS Rory Proto with fit face no, don't go getting excited, the BB-34 version

I loved the looks of that putter, I brought it from another great member here

I should have known at 337g it wasn't for me, it never made it to the course, 1-1/2 hours I worked it on the practise green before listing it the same week on ebay.  Some young guy from Cali had it back to Glenn for a beef-up and some other work that I forget.  We still laugh sometimes over that one don't we.

Anyway some pictures below, talk to Pete about the pic quality.

After gaming the fit faced BC3 and its softness I felt the need for a bit more head weight so off ebay straight to Glenn came ever so modified BC5 belly @ 395g

Then I got Jimmy struck and absolutely smitten with the most beutifull mallet I've every seen.

Makes me smile every time I go into the Bettinardi Putter Registry because its there on Bob's desk 1905

Now I'm a DASS man, I don't really maintain putters well so, the feel of soft carbon was something very new and the sound from a slotted putter OMG

I had to have sight line added but other wise just paint a slight beef-up to my prefered 345g @ 32-1/2"

Here she is & oh boy did she lead me into trouble, I tried to hunt down her sister 1910 :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( Not found & the therapy bill makes the putters look cheap. :-\

Then I heard a rumour, a new mallet, wow WFT was this, still Jimmy struck I rang him to be told of the

Half Moon Mallet

No good resisting, I had to have one, family commitments ment I could go to Orlando

Waiting patiently, then waited impatiently, I think I phoned Jimmy three or was it four times during the show heck I wanted to phone more

Finally, I got a choice Black Chrome or Chocolate Oxide :-\

No choice at all, oxide in England  :( no fning way

Then Jimmy e-mailed me, gulp, double gulp, this could be expensive

Now I'm not one for fancy things, Red & Black and the more black with very thin red details the better for me

Jimmy's e-mail said I have tour mallet that might interest you don't open the sole photo till last

Here is 2631

Glenn was listening to Jimmy talking back to me on the phone when asked jokingly if it could be painted RED !!!

Out of fondness for the old Kuch, the new one came into sight, straight off the tour bag

A slap of paint (Jimmy missed the sight line) & here she is

I gotta tell you, one hell of a lot of offset, you guys decide I'm sort of in between 2 & 2-1/2 shafts but, a really neat compound bend shaft

Now having checked the dates in my paypal account I can tell as well he knows, a whole two months had gone past since I'd brought a putter off Jimmy. ::)

So, an e-mail arrived, from Jimmy, should I open it, whats the title, "This might be your kinda thing"

$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

Hell he'd even had it painted red before he photo'd it

The first but not the last (I'm sure) of the 44 magnum plumbers neck mallets 2916

Yes the weld is a bit smelly but, just the idea of someone having to tell the original owner
"Errrrrr we kinda broke your putter" I shouldn't and I know I'll be dammed in hell but, I laugh & very loudly

Yep my Source of putters was at it again, he couldn't have been too sure though it hadn't been painted but now it has

3296 another 44 magnum plumbers necked mallet of sorts, the SlotCar

Oh and guess what Mr Source informs me they have another broken 44 magnum plumbers neck in the Studio ::)  They would wouldn't they

& from somewhere lost in the annuals of time & good Single malt these two snuck in there

I swear I don't even remember the BB-14 but, the slotted BB-32 I remember getting Glenn to strip & refinish due to no protection for the aftermarket slot that had been cut, it had to be beefed back up a tad too

Here they both are

HAHAHAHA.  Great stories T.  I heard Jimmy bought stock in Testors now that they buy Red by the gallon for your putters!  All of them are great, but I love those 44 mag necks.  I tried 2866 once and I have to say it was one mallet I wouldn't mind gaming, I like the hang....lol.

A new naked one through the revolving door, don't suit me so she's gonna have to go however, I'll wait till the market is ready for her, which it certainly ain't right now.  I dunno maybe my taste is now too specialised, we'll see.

Shoot me if you really care as strongly as I do but, I just gotta throw out a big thank you to Tom at Slighter Golf who's not only great at what he does but, is also great to work with.

Here's RJB1839 or RJB1938 (not sure which, should have got it weighed before it had the chop) in its new PN configuration.

RJB3656 ain't letting any other putter even close to the bag right now so, this one lives in the hot house getting darker by the day, photos taken after three days in with the flowers.

Hope you guys appreciate the 2008, 1 in 50 hat too, not the uber rare night sky but, that wouldn't match my red & white theme I had to switched to when I couldn't get the Red on Black Stinger hat.
