Prototype Aluminum Heads
« on: July 01, 2011, 07:45:55 PM »
i found these on ebay and decided to finish & assemble them.

the finishing & assembly on the first 2 heads is very simple:

1 - face milled - with one of the patterns we use on handmades
2 - hand-stamped - using different letter fonts
3 - polished - they were pretty beat-up - so, we just made them look nice
4 - paint filled - black for simplicity
5 - shafted & gripped - 71 degree lie angle

they were designed to be heavy (over 400 grams), center-shafted (rocker sole) and belly length.  but, i decided to cut the length down to our standard 34-1/2".

haven't taken them over to the putting green - but, i rolled a few on carpet and was pleasantly surprised.  the "feel" is soft (as you would expect from aluminum) and every putt i hit rolled true.
