Designed by list?
« on: March 11, 2011, 10:23:10 PM »
Hi.  Does anyone have a list, or know where to find one, the gives all the different variations of the "Designed By" Cleveland blade putters?  I really like these putters and have started to collect them.

Don't know if this is recent, but if so, seems like there are 2 Designed by 1948 models:  center shafted true blade (Bullseye); Calamity Jane replica.

Nice idea.

There's also a Cleveland Designed by Classic (8802 style).  It came in different finishes, including: gunmetal, satin, bronze, chrome, and beryllium nickel (according to a site turned up on Google).

Hope this is what you were looking for?

Sorry.  The Designed by Classic is an 8802 style.

There is also a set of Designed by Ben Crenshaw 8802 styles, in BeCu, black milled and copper.

BTW, if you use the search box in the upper right corner of the Community page, and look for "Cleveland designed by" there are threads and pics about the various models.

This book has pictures and historical information on several of the different variations of the Cleveland "Designed by" putters.  However, it is probably not a complete list and the book may be hard to find.

I remember the Cleveland, Crenshaw, and Corey Pavin models (multiple metals were used, and some were milled too).

The author is Dalton Daves.  He may have copies for sale.  His website is "whattheprosplay", IIRC.
