Just got back to Iowa from Studio B, and let me tell you it was amazing. I went in with really high expectations and I can definately the Studio met and exceeded them.
We got to the studio and was greeted by Ben. He took us up to the second floor where the studio was located. He gave us 20 or so minutes to pick out a putter that was suitable to our eye and felt good to roll.
We then headed into the fitting room where there is a window that looks into the production area. I immediately looked down and much to my surprise, saw "The Man" himself on the floor working and instructing the machine operator. Simply Amazing! It was then Ben and I got to "work". The first thing we did was determine my length. Ben asked what length I usually play, and I told him 34 inches. He stated that I was too far over the ball with a putter at this length, and we went with a 35 inch putter. After that he showed me the rack of grips and told me to pick anyone I wanted. Of course being a former Cameron guy, I chose the Red Kool-Aid Studio grip!! Ben He quickly realized that I needed my putter to be flat. The putter I chose( I will get to that later) toe was off the ground to much and Ben and I worked to get that square to the ground!. We then adjusted to loft of the putter. After the fitting, he took me over to the headcover cabinent and told me to pick whatever I wanted! I chose a red nylon cover with a Hex B on one side and milled in the USA on the other.
It was what Ben did next that left me absolutey speechless and will make me a Bettinardi Loyalist now. He opened some cabinents and stated grab any shirt you want! Mind you there are high quality Bettinardi Polo shirts! He then went to the closet and asked what color our golf bags were. I stated mine was a red Wisconsin Badger Hoofer. He then threw and red and white Bettinardi players towel at me!
After this occured and Kevin was getting fit, Bob came upstairs and greeted us. It was crazy!
Sorry no pictures of the studio as my wife forgot to tell me she took the memory stick out of the digital camera before sending it with me.
I will post actual pictures sometime soon, but here is the registry number of my putter! Let me know what you think......I think it is "Wicked Awesome"!
