J,
You have the only "Wave" ever made, I promise you that. It was a shaping that popped into my head very late one night and was most done before my head hit the pillow. That tends to happen, from time to time. If I have an idea, postponed action is often lost action and never makes it to the metal.
As for stamping, about the only limitation is dependent upon the model you pick and if it happens to be one of our prototypes. All of our production heads have "SSB" and the wave on them, somewhere. A few of our remaining protos from head development have no stampings, I believe.
From that point, most areas are fair game, unless we have some cautions with thin sole areas. Your WAVE putter is one that has a very thin sole area and we ran into some issues stamping on the sole, on one or two of the SurfSide heads, very early on. It tended to show through and you could see the little bumps in the floor of the flange. Not what most guys want to see on a custom putter, eh?
Fire Chris an email via the site,

I appreciate the kind words on the WAVE and look forward to the next SSB putter making its way into your rotation.
Have an awesome weekend!

SSB's Custom Garage Guy,

PS. I was just reading through this thread and wanted to mention that your putter, although CNC'd for very rough shape, was completely hand shaped from that point to create the look you see and now own. I guess this means that even if I tried, I'd have a very tough time Xerox'ing that bad rascal. The next one, when ordered will have a look similar to, but not identical to, your WAVE. Rest easy knowing that you have a true, "One of A Kind".
