2010 Test Putters
« on: November 22, 2009, 11:55:19 AM »
I've been thinking about what to have for test putters in 2010.  Here are a few ideas:

Designed by Captain Morgan blade
007 Spud
Center shaft Channel Islands
DH89 Round neck with sound slot

I'm also expecting a couple of new models to be introduced in 2010, so they will definitely be in the mix.  Let me know what you think...  :)

Why does that hurt? Isn't that what we are all looking for?

P.S. Bring back the Pink hat!

It hurts because I love putters...  Do you miss the pink hat that much??

Dave I was just kidding around.  I thought there was a rumor going around of a new mallet in the works, similar to a Cameron JAT.

I'm all for testing out a few models/review in the Spring as I'm putterless right now. I've never tried a Byron before either. I've generally gone the mallet route but I'll research the putters who've mentioned earlier in the thread.

Stainless Steel 006 is doing great at the moment. The 006 just fits my eye. But I have been putting with blades recently, so if there is a stainless Captain Morgan blade I might demo that. I do plan to add a carbon 006 in the spring/summer just to have a little variety...

Thank you for the input fellas.  We are working on improvements to the program and the famous putter tubes.  I'd like to wrap up the 2009 panels before starting anything for 2010.

I'd love to test the blade.

If the idea has already come to pass and I've just overlooked it, I apologize. If it hasn't, it would be cool to have people sign up to test a particular putter, and raffle the putter off at the end by the program's director. nvgolfdude I would imagine.
If 10 people sign up for a $100 putter (I wish) then each person contributes $10, tests it for a week or so, and sends it off to the next person. At the end of the trial, raffle it off since the putter is already paid for.

They do a random number and that person has a chance to purchase it at a reduced price, or at least they have before.

Whoa!  It was not taken by a PutterTalk member.  No scoundrels here...  It appears to have been stolen by a Postal Service employee or subcontractor.  It went missing in transit (Priority Mail) between CT and MO shortly after Christmas.  It has not turned up on eBay or GolfWRX yet.
