Is this firing anytime soon? What is the final list of testers?

Response to the request to send the required information in to get on the test list has been sparse.  We are in a holding pattern until some more folks send in their 411.

OK!  We have 15 people who have expressed an interest in testing a DH89 Carbon head with a sound slot.  The likely configuration for this test putter will be "naked", with a slant neck, 34", and one very cool grip provided by Drewspin...

If you are one of these 15 people, I need to hear from you by email to confirm your participation (david@byronputters.com).  We prefer to keep the group size to 12, and 13 is the maximum.  So, the first to confirm by email are in...  ;D

This test panel seems to have lost its momentum.  We had 15 people post in the thread that they wanted to test the putter.  Only 4 people have confirmed their desire to participate in the manner requested (email to david@byronputters.com).  Those 4 people are:

Pcirelli
baraethon
Msaternus
jls6

This is not enough for a test panel.  If I don't hear from at least 6 more people, were going to suspend this test panel for the time being.  My apologies to the 4 people who did follow through.

I'm new to the site and I would like to give this putter a try if there's still a spot open.  Based on what I have seen, I'm either going to buy an 007 or a DH89.

Thanks.

This one is delayed due to loss of interest.  Of the people who said they wanted to try it, only a handful ultimately responded with the required information to get on the test panel.  We'll try it again in 2010.  :)

I apologize for not responding.  I that was very rude of me.  I was, and I still am, interested in trying the plumber's neck version of your DH89.  Slant necks just don't do it for me.  Thanks anyway and maybe next time.

OK, looks like this got dredged up again... and it confused me because there is another DH89 test panel being assembled.

1) I love the sound slot idea, not part of the other proposal.

2) I am probably in the minority, but I'd love to try a CS, sound slot... but not in a mallet configuration.

Going to be around 60* today... maybe a golf day if I get my chores done!

Hello to my friends!  As Dave Boot correctly stated, it has been a while since we had a demo program.  Unfortunately, there are 2 putters (DH89's) out there somewhere that were not returned.  That and a change in my job put the demo program on the sideline.  I hope that everyone is having a great summer!

That is interesting to know, that two are still out there, very unfortunate.
It was a tough program to run and honestly as a participant of two of them, it wasn't as easy as it looked. I know I had problems with both putters, based around customs and then the package being opened and the putter disappearing, with the tube arriving to the next guy with no lid and no damage. Putter was eventually found on eBay as USPS auctioned it off prior to that. I appreciate the work that Dave put in.

I'm kind of shocked to hear that two putters were stolen during this trial.  No wonder it did not continue.
