Interested in trying a DH89 w/sound slot? Sign up here!

OK, there's seems to be interest in having a test panel to roll a DH89 with a sound slot.  Post your interest here.  If we get 12 who want to participate, we'll do it.

Reminder:  Test Panel fee is $23.50.  Test panel members receive a 10% discount on the purchase of a new Byron putter.

OK, let's see who is interested...  :)

I'm in regardless, but would love to see it without alignment aids.  Thanks for the super fast response.

So are these now going to be available with a soundslot for order?  I was told that Byron would not do that for me when I ordered a longneck with one in Feb.

Alrighty then...  Based on some of the posts in the other thread and posts so far here, it looks like there's a demand for a "naked" DH89 tester...  We'll see what we can do...

I would be interested in testing this putter.   I have been eyeing up the daleheads but do not want to pull the trigger until I try one!

In part, the carbon or stainless question will be answered by the neck our testers want on this.  Anything other than a standard p/n will be carbon.  8)

Also, I'm voting for a rincon neck ;).

Sign me up if it turns out to be a plumbers neck.

For waht it's worth, my vote is for a naked stainless (but carbon would be cool too)!

I think that the head has been milled as naked carbon.  Neck, finish, shaft, and grip still to be determined...

As you know Pete, the slant necks will be a little more toward face-balanced.

I'd rather a putter closer to face balanced than heel shafted. Doesn't the length of the neck dictate the flow? Thanks.

Length of the neck will change the flow, but so can the slant or angle of the neck.

Looks like I'm back in, if there is space, so my vote is for a rincon neck. However, I'd basically be up for anything without a plumber's neck. Maybe a type of neck similar to a Cleveland Classic 3? Not sure if that's a midslant or what, but w/e. Top choice is rincon, second is anything but plumber's.

OK!  We have 15 people who have expressed an interest in testing a DH89 Carbon head with a sound slot.  The likely configuration for this test putter will be "naked", with a slant neck, 34", and one very cool grip provided by Drewspin...

If you are one of these 15 people, I need to hear from you by email to confirm your participation (david@byronputters.com).  We prefer to keep the group size to 12, and 13 is the maximum.  So, the first to confirm by email are in...  ;D

A slant neck is the probable configuration.  We have done plumbers necks and a Rincon.  Slant necks are a somewhat popular configuration, and as this is a test putter, why not a slant neck?

Fair enough.  I was asking purely out of personal interest sake.  I was keen to give the DH89 w / the sound slot a test given I will be buying one in the very near future.  I know for certain that I will not be ordering a slant neck so I am just trying to decide if I would benefit from the test program.  Thank you for the quick response!
