Heritage 'Lineage' and Show Off thread
« on: May 13, 2009, 10:11:18 AM »
Thought we'd start a few new sticky's to round out the Mills line - post your Heritage pics here (and include any of the 'old school' Klassics with the simple bumpers!)

Kicking things off - here is the Heritage (known as a Klassic at the time) which was at the 2009 PGA show, which I was able to purchase from Mr. JimmyGalls:

SS Heritage w/ boot cover.  I really like the simple lines and lack of stamping.  Very 'old-school'!  ;)

Doug-

That custom is sweet.  I don't see many with that kind of cavity stamping.

I have rolled it and it is as soft as you would expect from a Mills.  I liked it so much I traded it away and then bought it back:)

I had the opportunity to roll one of the traditional [round neck] Heritages, but preferred the Klassic, w/ that hosel...........  The plumber's neck, however, virtually transformed the feel of the Heritage head.  Picking this one up, was something of a crap-shoot that paid off big time.

So Heritage gang, how has your Heritage performed for you?  Mine has performed very well.  I am planning on playing my first round next week and just regripped it with a Best Grip Stitchback that has a unique texture due to a one-off leather cutting and process.  Ms Susan asked what I thought of it and I loved it so I am going to game it.

That said, I am looking forward to playing next week with my Heritage.

fantastic scooterdog.Very nice  ;)

Do i presume these are wall-hangers not gamers ? I ask,not only because of the probable value and rarity but also because of the different necks/offset etc. Personally i cannot imagine swapping regulaly between a plumbers neck and a flow-neck.Well,not with 'reasonable success' anyway.......

I played the past couple of days for the first rounds this year (played well, too). My Heritage has performed very well. I have reverted back to how I used to putt years ago when I could really putt well (ala Jack Nicklaus style). I lipped out or burned the edge of the hole on putts greater than 8 feet on at least 8 holes yesterday. Distance control is just about there, too. Once I re-hone my stance and stroke I am sure I will be putting lights out.

This is my first plumber neck mills and without sight line, but it is very easy to setup at the address.
I like hi-toe and this kinds of face milling.
Feeling is solid enough with the butter with pocket.
