Byron Morgan Putters / 615 Re-finish
« Last post by bogie on December 06, 2018, 04:30:35 PM »
Byron did his usual amazing job on this plain 615 I scored off eBay. I was going to leave it plain but decided to have some customization done and it came out beautiful.  :)

Putter still looks like it came from a block of ice but I'll get it to David to work his magic again a lil Christmas gift for myself :)

Thanks for the input!

Nick,

I sent 2 black ox putters to David before and was so impressed I just sent 2 more for refinish.  One was SS, the other carbon.
David's work is so good. I can't wait to see what he sends back to me.

Hey Nick,
I would say that the only reason to leave the rust would be if the putter had some kind of historical provenance (like if Mr. Palmer had owned it).
Otherwise, refinish away.

No idea how to do it other than send it back to David.
Or give it a go with the 000 like Rob said...and then send it back to David.

I would try some 000 steel wool and a touch of Eezox. It will certainly help.

Tim,

It sure is. Finish has looked like this since 2013 hasn't gotten any worse but it hasn't seen the course since either.

It still looks amazing but thinking about a refinsh for myself for Christmas.
