"Mindless 612"
« on: January 07, 2016, 05:51:37 PM »
Were any 612 putters that are stamped "Mindless" made from anything but GSS  ???

I have read that all were made from German steel, but I have seen several with the "Mindless" name stamped on them but no stamp as to the origin of the steel.

Thanks for any info !!!

There's a couple out there. I had one and it was definitely ASS, not GSS. I think the real Mindless putters had a slightly different face milling than its 612 US counterpart. Like the CNC Tuna milling that was offered standard a few years ago but deeper.

I think there were 12 GSS Mindless putters. Some with dots, some with lines, and maybe some blank? They definitely have a very deep almost sharp face milling. They were also 365 grams off the mill.

My first long plumbers neck was just ordered. A DH89.

I can't even guess how many times I've looked at your collection John.

Here are a few of the longnecks.  I don't have any recent collection threads so maybe this weekend I'll work on one.

As for the original posters question they were all German stainless as far as I know.  The one I posted is stamped that way too.

This is the putter that prompted my question. Any info that can be shared will certainly be appreciated.

Thanks,

WOW - Goosebump material! I have seen that Putter very recently. Clearly was not here, so it must have been eBay or the BST on WRX. It still had the Scotty on it BTW,

Good luck, I will keep an eye out.

Rob
Kind regards,
