My favorite has always been a nice Oil Can finish, but I refuse to use carbon steel putters anymore.
My next putter will hopefully be some sort of bronze finish on SS, but I haven't figured out who or what yet.

I'd have to say LaMont's Super Nickel (aka Teflon infused Nickel) on Carbon Steel is my favourite. All the feel of CS without any worry about rusting!

Copper plated carbon steel!

Did that one start out bright and shiny ?
I like how it has worn evenly and has an overall consistent color appearance (rather than blotchy).
If you have any photos of that one when it was brand new please post them. Thanks :)

You're welcome.  Byron had made a handful of the Epic Day putters with a long pipe neck.  This was made to my specs and it's been arguably the best putter I have ever used.  It remains in the bag to this day.  We'll see if the B-17 long pipe copper plated carbon can unseat my Epic Day.  If it does then the B-17 is .... well ...... epic!  :D

Definitely copper.  Nothing looks as good with age as a nice, even patina.
