How much should I pay?
« on: December 15, 2017, 03:19:52 AM »
Hello Betti guys,

Looking for a BB2 with Copper insert in excellent condition. Any idea what I should pay?

I know it is subjective but any opinions will be appreciated.

Thanks,
Rob
Kind regards,
Rob

I know that a Left hand BB2 with copper insert in excellent condition sold for $425 recently.  This is my go to gamer choice and I pay attention to the market however more up on the Left hand side.  I have seen great condition BB2's around $350 and would say that is a good guess to answer the question.  Well worth it in my option.

Hey Rob I fully agree with the Doctor.  They can be had for 300 to 400 in great condition.

Very nice and a great price! That's the 330 gram head if I am not mistaken and made in or around 2000. I own a BB2 350 gram and currently has my record of 22 putts of one round. I paid about $500.00 for it many years ago and know they sold new for about 1K. Why too high IMHO Super pick-up.  :)

I have alway liked the BB2 but never kept it in the bag. I got a mark on the top line which reflected light right into my eyes. So after a while I sold it, immediately realizing that was a mistake. I ended up buying it back from the person I sold it to and had it refinished by Bettinardi. I will probably take it to my grave. I have had so many putters in my life and this simple design defies logic. It just works and doesn't look like some sort of medieval war instrument.;-) Bettinardi's are getting too expensive for me. I just don't see the price making sense. They sell out the 'Hive' putters at super high prices and then they land on eBay for about 1/3 of what they sold for. And they still don't sell unless it's a Make Offer. I often wonder why more pros don't use an 8802 style putter except for Phil M. Oh well, I like them and yours should feel great with the copper face.
