New pix of recent works, 3 builds with pix.
« on: October 07, 2017, 11:07:48 PM »
My lack of posts here has nothing to do with lack of projects or time in my shop, but is more a product of running out of time in my days and doing all I can, just to maintain SOME level of presence on social media.
I popped in here tonight and got to see some of Byron's new B-17's and a few other sections with new putters, and thought that I owed it to the guys who keep PT alive and well, to share a few of my recent builds.
This one is a 303SS Version of my 6266•Blade that was recently picked up by the customer.  He had me stamp a number in the face, large font style.  I edited it out because it was a personal choice on his part and it did not fit the general putter guys' tastes....I hope that is not a bad decision.
The weight on this one hit 338.2 grams and he was beyond happy with his purchase.  The stamping, outside of the face, was kept to just "MANN•MADE" on the leading edge of the sole and a quick 1/8" Dot size, 5-dot pattern at the heel end of the face.  We went with a satin bead blast/polished sole and she was a stunner.
Let me know what you think of her.
Thanks,
LaMont in AZ

This one was built to go with a cover made by the amazing Scott Readman Concepts that was sent my way as a gift.  It was made from his "Vault" material and the pattern of the material was matched on the face of this gem, nearly perfectly.
I had considered keeping the finish raw stainless, but the customer who purchased this one requested a full-on torch and it turned out gorgeous.  We even applied the heat to the shaft for some color and it matched pretty darned good.
Its late here in AZ, so check out the pictures and let me know what you think of this gem.
Thanks again,
LaMont in AZ

I have a great supporter and customer in Florida that works full-time as a tattoo artist and shop owner, but also plays one heck of a game of golf.  His game is so honed that he competes on the mini tours and has cashed his share of winning's checks.
This is his 9th or 10th Mann•Made and he has given a lot of different designs a shot at his bag over the past year.  The amazing part, even though he is a player on a professional level, he has never once asked for any special treatment or discount.  If you are a putter maker or equipment rep, you realize how rare that truly is.
This one is the first MA/66 we have done for him using this neck and I think it turned out sweet.  He is over-the-moon excited to have it in his hands and I am fired up to put it in a box on Monday and send it East.
350 grams and some very rare stamping, as my putters are not merely stamped "TOUR" on a whim.  The putter has to be intended for actual play for $$$, in order to receive that type of stamping.
Check out the wild AZ Fire finish and let me know what you think of the stamping on this bad rascal.

Damn Lamont.

You don't always post pics, but you blow us away with your craftsmanship when you do.

Wait a minute LaMont.  Are you saying that TOUR ONLY actually means TOUR ONLY on your sticks?
What a concept!  ;)
Three beauties right here.  Great looking necks on the Vault and MA/66.  Finish is fantastic also.
Does that neck change the toe hand on the MA/66 much?
