Been on both sides and I know how you feel... fortunately for me, it wasn't my typical set up so I wasn't in the bidding with you.

Hope it goes to a good home...

eBay creates one of those rare instance where timing is everything - and yet nothing at all since we have no idea how high the “sniper” max bid was.

While i am still guilty of watching and trying a steal bid at last second, i have learned that if willing to pay $x it is best to just put in that bid - and, if you use them, set your snipe timer to place that  bid in last few seconds.

Rob, tough luck. I have learned if you are not on the last minute you almost never win...

The UST frequency shafts have been around for some time now and I have never heard of them nor seen anyone game one. I would think the PVD coating on a 'putter lounge' shaft would eliminate some oscillation. All the putters I have seem solid with what they are shafted with. I did have some irons 2nd swing soft stepped for me which oscillated and felt very weird. I eventually tossed them.

Boy, am I p***ed off right now!

I just missed this - I was the only bidder for the last 4 days and someone jumps in and gazumps me with 3 seconds to run on the auction! I am at work and you just can't bid in time against that on a mobile, probably would have got me on a computer anyway :-(

This seems to be the way on eBay now as standard. P***** me off and means the seller is missing out IMHO.

Okay - rant over and breathing through my nose again.  :)

The Club House / LPGA Volvik Championship Preview, Pairings, and More
« Last post by tonyj5 on May 21, 2018, 07:42:13 PM »

This week the LPGA moves to the state of Michigan for the playing of the LPGA Volvik Championship. This is the first of two tournaments played in Michigan on the LPGA schedule (the Meijer LPGA Classic will be held next month).

This will be year #3 for this tournament. Many of my readers may remember last year's exciting finish when Shanshan Feng, in spite of bogeying 2 of the final 3 holes, held on to beat a charging Minjee Lee and Sung Hyung Park by a single stroke.

Here is my preview of this week's tournament:

Great looking flat stick!  My favorite gamer in Carbon however this make me want another in Stainless with that finish.

General Putter Talk / Re: Are You an Insert Person?

Nope.  The Odyssey Stronomic insert cured me of that nonsense.

Tried the white hot, and even though it was a good feel, I couldn't consistently control distance.
Agree, it is the distance control thing with me.

I took the old 2016 BB8 out on Sunday and never left a putt short (mind you, I don't normally use 350g) and most were tap ins. Maybe it's in my head, but the solid Carbon just seems to give better feedback.
