The original FGP - What's the Headweight?
« on: November 06, 2009, 10:33:11 PM »
The factory just told me the new SeeMore FGP Black model has a 320g head

I'm looking for something lighter and noticed, from looking at photos, that the original version of the FGP may be lighter by design... the original FGP appears to be totally void of any heel-toe weighting. The newer FGP design is built up a bit in the heel and toe area.

I'm trying to build a 36" putter with an overall weight of around 480-495g. and a swingweight of about D2/D4

I am a few days late, but I just refinished an original FGP and it weighed in at 305, when the process started.  I was blown away by the raw weight, but the putter has a great feel to it.  Funny how sometimes we are mislead by our minds, once we know the weight.
You'll see some pics of this one, here on PutterTalk in the MannKrafted section, before the weekend is out.
Thanks,
