2010 New models......or....... ????
« on: August 25, 2010, 04:49:27 PM »
Ordered a Yes Tracy 2 Monday at my local Pro-shop. Went in today to collect and was told there had been a hold-up due to only having them in 34" shafts and they wanted to know what i wanted to do as id requested a longer length.

Supposedly the lack of stock is because they are 'getting rid of the whole range this Autumn'. Thats all i over-heard in passing......

So does that mean they are closing down,or did he merely mean a complete re-vamp of their range with completely new models coming out,and a scrapping of the range as it stands now  ?

Any gossip......
Regards Shuv

Have heard from shops and others that they are in trouble.  Had two from PGA show that never showed up and I was told they were low on stock..Last time they cancelled my order.  Not a good sign.

Have you heard if they will still have Harold Swash as their designer?

Dont know John im afraid. Just learnt the reason they only had a Tracy 2 available in 34" is because they are obviously getting rid of current inventory to make way for a complete new line (Im in the UK if i didnt say).

Strange that EVERYTHING is going. Sure there was some rubbish in amongst some nice models that did little but pad out the options ,but i would have thought there were also a few strong models in there that were/are reasonably timeless....

We'll see what happens i guess.

I met Swash at a PGA Show.  Seemed like a very nice and knowledgeable man.  Introduced me to Peter Dawson, who happened to walk up while we were chatting.  Forgot to ask for that R&A membership.  Doh!   ::)
