Questions about the JN PERSONAL EDITION PUTTER
« on: March 31, 2011, 12:47:19 PM »
I see it looks like the JN Personal Edition Putter is now available for sale through the Nicklaus Golf website.  It looks very nice.

Mr. Long - could you tell us what the headweight is?  I think saw somewhere that it is 340 grams but I'm not certain.  Also, could you tell us what the toe hang is?  It looks like it would be about 1/2 toe hang (similar to an Anser) based on a longer neck.  Maybe a little more toe hang than that.

Thank you, sir.

Sorry for the long delay in responding.

The toe hang on this putter is 54 degrees from horizontal. So I guess you might say a bit more than half toe.

I modeled this one similar to one he used previously in 2003 I believe which was a slant neck type with an Ansed style back design. It has about half shaft offset and is indeed 340 grams. Jack still putts with a lighter weight head at about 330 grams and 35 inches, similar to the older putters he has used.

This production mode is a skin milled stainless steel cast putter. A really nice part for the cost, looks like a $300 putter.
