Rob from Sydney's Byrons
« on: February 15, 2017, 02:50:26 AM »
Hello Guys,

Only started with Byrons not so long ago and really love what I have so far.  Not so many as yet but hope you like what I have as much as I do. Looking forward to adding to this thread.  :)

First up is the first Byron I acquired. It is 23/25 DBCM in Mystic Pearl. I am a great fan of milling and this is some of the best I have seen.

Kind regards,
Rob

My second Byron is an absolute beauty I scored off a great member here by scrolling through the swap shop. Byron confirmed for me it is 1 of 4 Epic Day Handmade he did around 2003. I thought the DBCM had crazy good milling until this one landed ha ha.

Next up is another functional work of art from a great member here and the swap shop once again. It is a DH89 at 350g in Mystic Pearl with custom stamps, softened bumpers, a roll top, welded high beam rincon neck and hidden sound slot. It has a black Iomic grip and is my gamer in summer on quality greens where not too much harm can come to her.

Rob

I wandered into my local used gear shop in Balmain here in Sydney to talk to the mad Irishman that runs it and he produced this old gem to show me - SOLD. I have no idea how it found it's way here, but I am an absolute sucker for early putters with some history to them. I am assuming by the headweight of 365g that it was produced for the Asian market, but have reached out to you guys in another thread here hoping to get some more information. I just love the specs. stamped on the sole. This will be my gamer here in winter when the greens get slow and dewey.  :)

Yeah baby!! She just arrived today, courtesy of one of my good friends who met with Byron last week. As a bonus surprise, I opened the package to find a green leather skull and bones stitchback he had thrown in just because he is a top bloke!!  :)

Rob,
Very nice start. Can't go wrong with the DBCM, I own #13 and one of my favorites, although used sparingly.
I also like the green grip, I have the same grip but in red on my DH89.

Thank You,
Dave
The course options:
Byron Morgan - Blacks Beach DH89
Byron Morgan - Designed by Captain Morgan #13/25
Byron Morgan - Bombora 8)
Byron Morgan - Damascus Stainless Steel DH89

Here is the latest Blade to arrive and she is GORGEOUS!! I am assuming 303 - with a misted Blue Oil finish and Tiffany Paintfill. Like all the DBCM's, the micro milling is gorgeous and looks like a laddered stocking! She came with a black Stitchbacxk and is wearing the Sex Wax cover which my naughty dog was eyeing off for a chance to bolt with!  :)

Rob

Rob,
Good morning. Oh yeah, you better believe that I have the augusta grip. Was very happy to get one. I really like my red stitchback. Waiting for the next Bombora and will probably ship this grip to Byron and have the color theme set for Arnie's umbrella colors.
