I was quoted 6-8 weeks for turnaround time.  From here and various forums, buyers have received in a week or two.  Is it due to the availability of heads, workload, etc?  Thanks.

It all depends on finish. Heads, what he's working on etc. I put in a order and it was turned out in about 1 1/2 weeks. But then had to be sent in for copper plating.  Best way is to say what head you are looking at and finish and it should give you a more accurate idea of timeframe(also if you swing by to pick it up that saves some time ;))

Some stuff gets done quicker than others..It depends on finish, necks, what is milled on it...When I give you a estimate it is just that.. Anything done in house will be finished quicker than something that needs to be sent out

I grew up near the Huntington Beach area.  Where's Byron's shop?  When I'm in the area, I wouldn't mind swinging by and looking at the putters.

I have had putters that were in stock arrive within a week and custom orders take 8 weeks.  It depends on the finish, stamping , special milling/grinding if required, and shaft.

Is there a comprehensive list with examples of all headshapes, face milling, and finishes available?

I'm thinking about designing a putter, but don't exactly know where to start.  I found the stamp template and that's really helpful.

I know I'd like a GS DH89.   Other than that, its up in the air.

TJ,

What is the milling on the 8802 head?

No clue yet! supposed to be tuna milling,,,,, it is going to get a satin copper bath before it comes home,,,, the way that  putter got done was by typing this to Byron "ever deep milled a 8802 style?",,,,,,,,, Byron response was "let's make it happen",,,, 4 weeks later, he posted the pic,,,,,,

I'm a huge fan of whatever that is.  I'm partial to the old Mil-Spec milling.

I really like the dale head with the 1/2 offset welded neck in copper. You have one on the byronputters website picture 167 in the gallery. I would like to order a putter. Who do I contact?

Do you offer anything similar to the Scotty Del Mar or the Odyssey #9 ??

I'm looking for something with a wider flange in SS at about 360gr ...

Thanks

Your two options would be the channel island or da kine in an 18 style neck. Go check out the gallery at byronputters.com to see all of the options.

Here are the two I mentioned. The copper is a channel island. As far as weight goes, I don't think hitting 360 grams would be a problem. Don't know the availability of SS heads right now. Byron, Dave, or Steve may have to chime in on that question.

To go into a little more detail, if you want shoulders on the putter like the Del Mar or the #9, he does not offer one like that. The DaKine would be more like the older JAT model and the Channel Island is unlike any other putter design offered from other makers.

He can also customize the sight line the way you want it. The two above have the T line. The CI was offered in an M line, too. Obviously you could get one single line or no line at all.

It really just depends on what heads he has in shop and what you want. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the info ...much appreciated.

I really like the looks of the Channel Island Putter.. Do you know how much toe hang it has ?

Who would I have to talk to about making me something similar to the one you posted but in SS ??

Thanks again,

Anything particular in reshafting a Byron?  I have a 007 and applied quite a bit of heat to the hosel and cannot get the head off.  I have pulled many putter heads and have not had this problem before.

Before I add more heat, I just wanted to check.

I want to experiment with a shorter shaft and dont want to cut down the one that is installed when I have the shorter one ready to pop in.

Thanks

One more question.

What is the significance of "proto" stamped on a Byron putter?
