Glass Blast vs Tour Satin
« on: October 12, 2017, 11:56:18 PM »
Hello Everyone!

I’m looking to potentially place an order for another DH89 and was wondering if anyone can share what the difference between the glass blast and your satin finishes are? I’m hoping for a finish closer to say the Scotty Select line as opposed to say the fuller finish on the Ping Anser series of putters from a few years ago. Thanks for any help you can provide.

I asked the same question a while back, and here's what I was told (paraphrasing)...

Tour Satin and Glass Blast are essentially the same finish with one big difference...Glass Blast used "new" beats and tour satin used "old" beads. The result is that Glass Blast has more of a texture to it and Tour Satin is a little less "rough" feeling. From what I've read and seen, they are really close, but I would love to own a Tour Satin for similar the "mist" finish on Scotty's stainless putters.
